From our community projects to our efforts to support young people and people in precarious situations, each initiative bears witness to our dedication to building a better future for all.

At Surmesur, we believe that companies have the power to generate a significant positive impact on society. As a Quebec-based company, we are guided by values of quality and respect.

Our commitment doesn’t stop at making made-to-measure clothing; it also extends to the way we interact with our employees, our customers, our partners and our community.

500 hours of volunteering

This year, we’ve set ourselves to volunteer more than 500 hours in all our showrooms! At Surmesur, our commitment goes beyond creating custom clothing: we firmly believe in giving back to the community. Every volunteer hour is a testament to our dedication to the causes we care about. By aligning our growth with positive social impact, we create, but more importantly, we give back.

The art of giving back

Oeuvres Jean-Lafrance

Oeuvres Jean-Lafrance

QUÉBEC

Since 2017, Surmesur has been collaborating with Les oeuvres Jean Lafrance, an organization dedicated to providing personalized support for young boys. The mission of the Maison Jean Lafrance is to help young people progress personally, professionally, and socially so that they become independent and committed citizens.

We provide Surmesur packages to young boys to support them on their journey towards independence.

Heyward House

Heyward House

PITTSBURGH

The House’s mission is to provide emotional and financial support to families and children facing similar difficulties, creating a haven of hope and resilience in times of need.

As part of our collaboration with Heyward House, Surmesur had the great honour of dressing the children. We don’t just give them ready-made suits; we take care to adjust them so that each outfit fits perfectly. It’s about giving these young people a transformative experience, building their confidence, and showing them that they are valued.

We’re also proud to support Craig’s Closet, which provides Pittsburgh-area high school students with free formal wear for interviews, internships, banquets, and more.

The mission of Heyward House is to provide emotional and financial support to families and children facing hardship, creating a haven of hope and resilience in times of need. The Surmesur team in Pittsburgh volunteers daily for these initiatives, ensuring that each young person has the resources and encouragement they need to succeed.

St-Malo School

QUÉBEC

Sport and health are part of our core values. That’s why we volunteered for Echo Sports, assembling bikes for students in a francization class at St-Malo primary school in Quebec City.

This revelation added an emotional dimension to our collective effort, underlining the importance of communication, team spirit, and collaboration.

Vide ta sacoche

Vide ta sacoche

QUÉBEC

Recently, Fondation 104 and Surmesur joined forces to support the non-profit organization Vide ta sacoche, which collects hygiene products to create gift bags for young people in precarious situations.

Our team assembled bags filled with personal hygiene items, making a positive contribution to society at this time of year.

104 Foundation

QUÉBEC

Since its creation, Surmesur has been committed to contributing to its community through various charitable causes and events. In 2018, with the support of Catherine Savoie, the Surmesur Foundation, renamed 104 Foundation, was created to encourage education and personal success among young people.

104 Foundation primarily operates in two ways:

  1. Creating and developing projects that motivate young people to take action through engaging educational experiences.

  2. Supporting non-profit organizations whose mission is to contribute to the education and schooling of young people through engaging educational experiences.
