Clothing purchased in SURMESUR showrooms can be adjusted free of charge under the following conditions:
- Shirts: free alterations within 3 months of purchase.
- Pants, chinos and jeans: free alterations within 3 months of purchase.
- Suits, Waistcoats & Jackets: free alterations within 6 months of purchase.
- SELECT Suits: free alterations within 12 months from the date of purchase.
Charges may apply depending on the adjustments to be made.
- If you wish to change the style or design chosen initially, alterations will be at your expense.
- Alterations fees may apply if measurements have been changed at the customer’s request (by phone, online chat, email, etc.) without their measurements being updated by an in-store measurement specialist or video conference.
If the measurements differ from the product received, adjustments related to measurements will be free of charge.

- Garments must be new or freshly laundered before they can be altered.
- Alterations following a significant weight fluctuation (loss or gain) are not covered by SURMESUR. For more details about the covered weight range, please reach out to your stylist.

We strive to complete our alterations within two weeks, but this can be longer in busier months when the demand is higher and our tailors have less availability.

- SURMESUR is not responsible if the garment rips during alterations due to previous damage or wear.

Is there a charge for alterations on Surmesur garments purchased on the web?
As long as your measurements were up to date at the time the order was submitted and you are within the alteration period, alterations are free. Measurements are up to date if they have been modified in the last 12 months.
If you do not live near a Surmesur store, we can pay the alteration fees charged by your local tailor upon presentation of a valid invoice, up to the limits indicated below:

How long does it take for alterations?
On average, alterations can take up to two weeks to be completed. This may vary depending on the availability of our tailors and the demand.
It all depends on the type of garment ordered, the chosen fabric and the applied options. In general, our turnaround time can range from 3 to 8 weeks. This time frame includes the production and delivery of your garment.
- Our Good fabrics start at US$695 and are made of a blend of polyester and wool. In this category, you will find mostly blends of polyester and wool. In this category, you will also have access to 100% wool fabrics priced around $875 to $1,000.
- Our Better fabrics fabrics start at around $1,379. In this category, you will mostly find fabrics made of 100% wool. You will find fabrics of exceptional quality, sourced from prestigious Italian mills, among others. These mills possess remarkable expertise, built on a heritage of hundreds of years of knowledge and craftsmanship.
- Our Best collections start at around $1,799. This category brings together the finest mills recognized worldwide, not only for their reputation but also for their expertise. Whether it is the craftsmanship of French, English, Italian, or other traditions, you will find them all here.
First of all, congratulations to you and your partner!
To create a suit for your wedding with Surmesur, it’s quite simple: we advise on a first meeting with a stylist in our showroom (this meeting is completely free, and lasts about 45 minutes). You can bring your partner then, no problem! The stylist will confirm with you what you want: colours, fit, style of your suit, your groomsmen’s suit, etc.
Afterwards, we organize a VIP event! The VIP event is really the time for you and your groomsmen to finalize the looks and take the measurements: the event is meant to be fun! As soon as the measurements are taken, we take care of producing your suits and we contact you as soon as the clothes are ready to book a fitting session.At the fitting, we confirm the style and fit with the whole group – if adjustments are needed, they are included in the price!
Basically, the whole process can take up to 10 weeks, plus an additional 2 weeks for alterations. We suggest starting the process at least 3 months in advance of your big event.
At Surmesur, your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed on all your purchases in a showroom and online. If you are not satisfied with the final product purchased, Surmesur will issue a credit note for the amount of the purchase under the following conditions and exceptions:
- No claims will be accepted if the garment has been worn.
- No refund requests related to the choice of fabric colour and design will be accepted.
- If the fabric has a quality problem (excessive wrinkling, premature wear), a credit can be issued by the showroom 90 days after the purchase date.
- If we have made a production error (e.g. wrong fabric choice, wrong style choice, etc.), your item will be replaced at no additional charge.
- Ready-to-wear items purchased in a showroom are exchangeable or refundable within 30 days of receipt.
- Items can be returned to the showroom or shipped to our warehouse at your expense by contacting [email protected]. Our shipping address varies depending on your country of residence.
- No damaged or worn accessories will be exchanged or refunded.
- Masks, underwear and socks are not exchangeable or refundable.
- Items listed as final sale are non-exchangeable, non-refundables.
- We do not accept returns during the Black Friday and Boxing Day (December 26) promotions.
- Holiday Gifts: For purchases made between November 1 and December 24, exchanges or returns are available through January 31.

SURMESUR will not pay for alterations due to a weight change (loss or gain). If the weight change requires the garment to be remade or altered, the customer will be responsible for the resulting costs. Please contact your stylist for details about which weight variations are covered.
If it has been more than 12 months since your last measurement, or if there has been a change in weight since your last measurement, we strongly recommend that you update your file with your stylist.
